Today I choose to run
And I choose to run with joy.
Running, walking, or anything else is always a choice. As much as we feel obligated to get out there, we have the option to say, “No.” Part of what makes that great, though, is that we can choose to say, “Yes!” But there is a difference between putting in our miles and running with joy. Psalm 19:5 compares the sun with a strong runner who “runs its course with joy.” The sun, unlike us, does not have a choice. Yet, according to this psalm, it goes joyfully. It goes all in. Clouds do get in the way from out seeing, sometimes, but it’s still there. At all times, it runs its course with joy. May you do the same this week!
